IB DIPLOMA EXHIBTIONS
Over the course of six years teaching the IB Diploma Programme (IB DP) and serving as a DP Visual Arts Examiner, I’ve had the privilege of guiding students through an inspiring two-year journey. These students, enrolled in Grade 11 and 12, dedicate themselves to exploring their artistic voice, culminating in a final exhibition that showcases their growth, creativity, and technical mastery.
This page shares a curated collection of these final exhibitions, highlighting the unique challenges, creativity, and cultural exchanges that shaped these projects.
THE LEARNING JOURNEY
In the IB DP Visual Arts program, students engage in a transformative process that goes beyond creating art. They learn to think critically, explore interdisciplinary concepts, and engage with global perspectives. A cornerstone of this journey is learning from and visiting other schools' exhibitions worldwide, which broadens their understanding and inspires their work.
CREATING WITHOUT BOUNDARIES
One of the most challenging yet rewarding parts of this experience was teaching at THINK Global School, where there was no stationary studio to call a classroom. Here, creativity was paramount—students crafted artworks that could be disassembled and transported, relying on locally sourced materials and concepts to adapt to our changing environments. This required innovative problem-solving and adaptability, skills that will serve them far beyond their school years.
